MONDAY, December 11th 9:30 a.m. Linda and Pam will be attending the Port of Port Angeles Commissioners meeting. 12:00 Noon The Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce will be meeting at the Red Lion. 1:30 p.m. Teri will attend the PUD Commissioners meeting in Port Angeles. 1:30 p.m. Linda will be meeting with an EDC member. 3:30 p.m. Linda will be meeting with an EDC member. 6:00 p.m. Linda will be attending the Sequim City Council Meeting. 7:30 p.m. The Forks City Council will be meeting.
TUESDAY, December 12th 7:30 a.m. Pam will be attending the Port Angeles Business Association meeting at Joshua’s. 10:00 a.m. Clallam County Commissioners will hold their regular meeting at the Courthouse. 12:00 Noon EDC staff will be attending the Sequim Chamber of Commerce meeting. 3:00 p.m. Linda will be meeting with a local business.
WEDNESDAY, December 13th 7:30 a.m. West End Business Association meeting in Forks. 9:00 a.m. Teri will be attending the Port Townsend LPA. 12:00 Noon Forks Chamber of Commerce meets at the Smokehouse Restaurant. 7:00 p.m. The City of Port Angeles Planning Commission will be meeting.
THURSDAY, December 14th 7:30 a.m. The PA Forward Committee will be meeting at the Public Works Conference Room in Port Angeles. 10:00 a.m. EDC Staff will be attending the Board of Directors meeting at Peninsula College. 1:00 p.m. Linda and Teri will be attending the Peninsula Development Association meeting. 2:30 p.m. Linda will be attending the North Olympic Peninsula RC&D meeting.

Additional EDC Information… ***************************************************************************** Congratulations to Executive Director Linda Rotmark for her recent completion of Session 1 of the Economic Development Institute. This Institute consists of three sessions and is directed towards economic development professionals who wish to become Certified Economic Developers. Classes, workshops and discussion sessions on financing, real estate, marketing, strategic planning, business retention and expansion, just to name a few, are offered These are very intense one week sessions. Upon completion of all three sessions, you have the opportunity to sit for the Certified Economic Developer exam. The second session will be in the Spring of 2007 with the final one in the Fall. ***************************************************************************** Reserve the date! ***************************************************************************** The Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) is pleased to announce the Local Infrastructure Financing Tool (LIFT) Competitive Program. The LIFT program allows selected local governments to take advantage of tax revenue generated by private investment in an RDA to help make payments on bonds used to finance public infrastructure improvements. Incremental revenue increases in the RDA and revenue from other local public sources are used to match state money and must also be used to repay the same bonds. Cities, counties and federally-recognized Tribes are eligible to apply for the $2.5 million that will be awarded competitively by CERB. The maximum award for any one project is $1 million per year for up to 25 years.
